Hello Zug, Curling Club Zug,

Thanks to everyone for making the 111^th edition such a success. Thanks to Kevin and the Boden family for being great hosts and for bringing a touch of their family history to the event. Thanks to HQ staff for rising to the occasion and making things run smoothly. Thanks to our sponsors whose generosity allows us to offer a bonspiel of such quality. And finally, thanks to all the curlers who came in the spirit of camaraderie on and off the ice.

Now, as we look forward to January, there are some changes that we are very excited to share with you. We will be adding a day to allow improvements to the draw. We will continue to curl in the three clubs in the region, but we will also be the first major event that will curl in the state-of-the-art, eight-sheet facility in Quebec City that is currently under construction.

Finally, for the first time in our long history, the QIB will have a woman as honorary president. Johanne Tremblay-Neelin, who was born in Quebec and currently makes her home in Ontario will certainly bring her joie de vivre as she presides over the organisation and activities of the 112^th Quebec International.

If you are interested in joining us in January, registration is now open. Please visit our web site and fill in the registration form. All interested participants must complete the 2027 registration form including members of teams that competed or were on the waiting list in 2026. Teams who played or were on the waiting list in 2026 will have a priority if four members of the team register and pay before the end of February.

Merci à tous d’avoir fait de la 111e édition un tel succès. Merci à Kevin et à la famille Boden d’avoir été des hôtes formidables et d’avoir apporté une touche de leur histoire familiale à l’événement. Merci au personnel du quartier général d’avoir été à la hauteur et d’avoir assuré le bon déroulement des opérations. Merci à nos commanditaires dont la générosité nous permet d’offrir un tournoi de curling d’une telle qualité. Et enfin, merci à tous les curleurs qui sont venus dans un esprit de camaraderie, sur et en dehors des glaces.

À l’approche du mois de janvier, nous sommes ravis de vous annoncer quelques changements. Nous ajouterons une journée afin d’améliorer le « draw ». Nous continuerons à jouer dans les trois clubs de la région, mais nous serons également le premier événement majeur à se dérouler dans le nouveau centre de curling actuellement en construction à Québec.

Enfin, pour la première fois dans notre longue histoire, le BIQ aura une femme comme présidente d’honneur. Johanne Tremblay-Neelin, née au Québec et résidant actuellement en Ontario, apportera certainement sa joie de vivre à la présidence de l’organisation et des activités du 112e Bonspiel international.

Si vous souhaitez vous joindre à nous en janvier, les inscriptions sont désormais ouvertes. Veuillez vous rendre sur notre site Web et remplir le formulaire d’inscription. Tous les participants intéressés doivent remplir le formulaire d’inscription 2027, y compris les membres des équipes qui ont participé ou qui étaient sur liste d’attente en 2026. Les équipes qui ont joué ou qui étaient sur liste d’attente en 2026 auront la priorité si quatre membres de l’équipe s’inscrivent et paient avant la fin du mois de février.
